The girl levitating with the two Reiki symbols in her hands has kind of been my moniker since I became a Reiki Master/Teacher 8 years ago.

I felt such an electricity during the attunement, especially in the heart area and it felt like I came back into balance…hence the yin-yang (which I have a tattoo of on my ankle to remind me to stay there ).

My life, in my younger years was so completely out of balance that once I’d been attuned to Reiki, I felt like I had come home. It was and is an incredible experience to be able to pass on the Universal Life Force Energy to others. I am humbled and grateful each time I get a chance to share Reiki with anyone.

These are just a few of the words that describe Reiki. It’s actually difficult to put into words what Reiki is…it’s something that needs to be experienced to be understood.

I remember the first time I received Reiki, it felt like waves of color were washing over me and my body became lighter and a tremendous feeling of peace washed over me. I felt as one with the Universe and everyone and everything in it. That feeling has never left me and for that I am grateful!

As a kid I remember hearing my Dad use the expression “The Bees Knees.” It tickled me but I didn’t understand what it meant until I was older. It’s an expression that became popular in the 1920’s and it basically meant, “the height of excellence.” We’d use, “cool, wicked, awesome, etc.” these days to convey the same meaning.

I created this wallpaper to honor my Dad on Father’s Day. He passed over 6 years ago and I still miss him so much. He brought joy to my life and so many others…he was the Bee Knees!
